Worldsound-Orchestra
The "Fuldaer Worldsound-Orchestra" is an initiation of some musicensembles, playing music of different cultures and styles. The musical spectrum reached from west european music to balcan music, from the music of the near east to african music. The slogan "music unites" will bring people of different cultures together.
According to the motto “Music connects”, the orchestra promotes encounter and diversity without regard to cultural boundaries.
The most diverse instruments are played, namely classical European melodic instruments such as violins, flutes, guitar, tuba, harp and accordion complemented by the Kurdish Saz and the Scandinavian Nyckelharpa. Singing and diverse percussion instruments such as the Spanish Cajon, the Egyptian Darabouka and the Irish Bodran are also part of it.
All instruments are included in the songs, even if they are initially foreign in the respective music. The special harmonies and rhythms of the respective music tradition are taken into account. It is precisely the variety of instruments and the peculiar harmonies that lead the listener to a special sound experience of this orchestra.
The repertoire of the World Sound Orchestra represents the musical cultures represented with the musicians.
All instruments that can play in an ensemble are welcome. Be able to read sheet music is an advantage for the musician.
